The Metabolic Research Center’s Ponte Vedra Beach location is holding its MRC Spring Fest and open house this week, through Saturday, May 18.

Part of the festivities included a day celebrating Pet Peace of Mind, which is a Community Hospice program. That event was held Wednesday, May 15.

The program’s focus is to find new homes to adopt pets that have suffered the loss of an owner and are now without a loving home.

Not only does Pet Peace of Mind help pets, but it also does its part to help pet owners, as well. This is done by offering assistance to Hospice patients who are still at home and need to care for their pets.

Part of the way MRC gave back on Wednesday was by collecting dog and cat food and other pet supplies for the Pet Peace of Mind initiative.

Residents were invited to donate food and pet supplies while also enjoying the daily games and door prizes.

Speckles the certified therapy dog was on site for visitors to meet.

Metabolic Research Center is located at  252 Solana Road, Ponte Vedra Beach.
