The Ponte Vedra Community Association (PVCA) honored resident Lori Moffett as the organization’s Person of the Year on Friday.

The annual award was announced at the PVCA’s annual meeting May 10 at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. According to an email from PVCA president Jane Rollinson, Moffett was recognized for her work as a founding member of Save Ponte Vedra Beach, a nonprofit organization committed to restoring and preserving the area’s beaches.

Also at the annual meeting, the following individuals were elected to two-year terms: Sharon Carney, Wes Moore, Barb Roberts, Jane Rollinson, Brad Smith and Devon Witt.

In addition, Ponte Vedra High School freshman Matthew Sides, a life scout of Troup 277 working toward his Eagle, led the members in the Pledge of Allegiance.
