The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida has announced that R.J. Redick is the 2022 recipient of the Craig Speziale Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship recognizes a Ponte Vedra High graduating senior who demonstrates academic excellence, school leadership, community service and the “Spirit of Spez.”
Redick graduated seventh in his class of 470. He served as president of the Future Business Leaders of America and is the recipient of the Paladino Business Scholarship. He served as captain of the tennis team and created an independent home technology assistance business to help members of the community struggling with IT issues. He also participated in Hugs Across the County, PVHS Children’s Miracle Network and Link Crew. Redick balanced part-time work, volunteering, school academics and athletics while maintaining a 4.65 GPA. He exemplified the “Spirit of Spez” in his service to others and will make his own mark at University of Florida in the fall.
