Registration opens for First Coast Cultural Center winter art camps, classes

First Coast Cultural Center is launching its winter camp season with new programs to support the nonprofit. In addition to the Jacksonville Beach location at 3972 3rd St. South, the Cultural Center will hold classes at in Nocatee at Care Connect+, located inside the Flagler Health+ Village at 351 Town Center Plaza, Suite 205 in Ponte Vedra.

The following activities will be held at the Jacksonville Beach location including winter break camps. Activities held at Care Connect+ include youth drama and improv classes.

Winter camps are available for children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade and are designed to keep children active and having fun during the school break. Each week of camp will explore different artistic mediums including watercolors, acrylic paint and pastels, plus energy-burning games, musical activities and stories.

  • On Dec. 22-23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., classes will include Polar Express camp for kindergarten through fifth grade artists.
  • On Dec. 26-30, Winter Wonderland camp will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for kindergarten through fifth grade students.
  • The Winter Ice camp will be held Jan. 2-4 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to include daily themed activities and movement for young artists.
