The Ponte Vedra High and Nease High band programs joined forces for the Battle of the Bands Duck/Shark Derby at Nocatee Splash Waterpark on Aug. 25.
The unique fundraiser involved the two rival schools coming together for the shared goal of raising money for both programs with a rubber duck/shark race at the Nocatee Splash Waterpark lazy river.
PVHS earned the trophy for selling the most and achieving 100% participation, while Nease clinched victory in the race with a duck crossing the finish line first.
Both programs look to make the event an annual fundraiser.
