The Rotaract Club of Jacksonville’s Beaches hosted its third annual holiday fundraiser Dec. 7 at Alhambra Theatre & Dining and raised $11,197.82 for Mission House.
Organizers of “A Night at the Alhambra” from Beaches Rotaract set a fundraising goal of $10,000 and ultimately exceeded it by more than $1,000. This year’s total represents a 522 percent increase in donations compared to last year’s fundraiser. In addition to the funds raised, approximately 700 pieces of clothing, blankets and toiletries were donated to Mission House thanks to a supply drive that was organized as part of the event.
“A Night at the Alhambra” also featured a cocktail reception, raffle, three-course meal and the evening’s production of “Christmas Carole.” Members of the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach joined the “Rotaracters” for the joint holiday outing and contributed to the effort.
VIP sponsors included CSI Companies, Brightway Insurance Ponte Vedra and Aegis Pension Services. Presenting sponsors included Joni Zwick, PA, Forcura, SmithBooks Accounting, Bing & Associates and Tyler Rodriguez.
