Nocatee residents are noticing new presents along a popular fitness trail this gift-giving season. Workers have installed five new exercise stations along the Greenway path around Nocatee’s Community Park.
The stations are a coordinated gift between the Ponte Vedra Rotary Foundation of the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra and Nocatee’s Tolomato Community Development District (CDD). The Ponte Vedra Rotary Foundation donated $5,800 to buy the equipment. The CDD installed it at strategic locations along the wooded pathway.
“These exercise stations provide an exciting new amenity for the Nocatee community,” said Josh Hull, president of the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra. “At Rotary, one of our service areas is to carry out projects that enhance economic and community development. We’re proud to provide our Nocatee neighbors with a diverse, durable and safe exercise trail experience.”
“The CDD is excited to partner with Rotary on these exercise stations,” said CDD spokesman David Ray. “As the authority developing amenities in Nocatee, we feel these additions will only strengthen our reputation as the best place to live in Florida.”
The Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra meets every other Tuesday morning at the Treylor Park restaurant in Nocatee. For more information on joining, check out the club’s website or email club leaders at pontevedrarotary@gmail.com.
