RSM US LLP, a leading provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on the middle market, supported the Northeast Florida community with the 2021 Birdies Fore Love charitable giving donation of $351,721 to the St. Johns County Education Foundation, which operates as INK! (Investing in Kids).
Last year, RSM donated $303,003 to INK! as part of Birdies Fore Love, a nationwide fundraising initiative related to The RSM Classic, a PGA TOUR tournament event for which RSM is the title sponsor.
“At RSM, we continue to support INK! as our local charity of choice, and we’re committed to giving back to our local community where we live and work,” said Mike Vergo, RSM US LLP office leader in Northeast Florida. “We commend INK! for enriching the lives of teachers and students in the community.”
According to Donna Lueders, INK!’s executive director, the organization leads efforts to directly benefit educators and students in the St. Johns County School District with a mission to provide innovative programs and classroom resources, and to promote the academic success of students. INK! provides the tools and resources for teachers to help each child reach their full potential. “We are very grateful to receive another generous donation from RSM, which will help us continue much needed programs and services in our area,” she said.
RSM supports the 90 cities nationwide and in Canada where its employees, partners and principals live and work through ongoing volunteer activities and fundraising efforts. These efforts include Birdies Fore Love.
During the past 12 years, RSM has donated $28 million to national and local charitable organizations that support youth in the areas of education, hunger, housing and health. Each charity benefits from the funds raised locally by employees, clients, family and friends. With a match from the RSM US Foundation, the firm will give $4.8 million directly to deserving charities designated by RSM offices this year through Birdies Fore Love.
