The Churchmen had another interesting luncheon on March 16 at Marsh Landing County Club. More than 70 members joined together for food and fellowship. U.S. Rep. John Rutherford was the luncheon speaker. Rutherford serves in the U.S. House of Representatives from the 5th district of Florida. This district covers much of Jacksonville and St. Johns County.
Rutherford gave some behind-the-scenes insights into the workings of Congress and the importance of resuming the basic processes of “Regular Order” and “Budget Appropriations.” During the Q&A, a number of questions were raised by the members.
