Sale of Mastercraft Builder Group house to raise money for nonprofit

MasterCraft Builder Group has announced that it will build this year’s Home from the Heart to raise money for Builders Care, a nonprofit organization that provides cost-effective construction to the elderly, the disabled and other nonprofits throughout Northeast Florida.

The home is being built on lot 42 in SilverLeaf, a family-friendly, master-planned community in St. Johns County, and is currently on the market for $491,105.

“We’ve had more than 40 manufacturers, suppliers and tradespeople offer free supplies and reduced labor to help maximize the potential profit of the home,” explained Chris Shee, founder and CEO of MasterCraft Builder Group. “When the home is sold, all of the proceeds will be donated directly to Builders Care. This is an incredibly important fundraiser for the organization as it provides a substantial portion of the annual budget.”

Contributing and participating partners include Construction Solutions & Supply, A/C Designs of St. Augustine, Florida Home Store, James Hardie Building Products and Seltzer’s Appliances, in addition to dozens of other local, regional and national companies.

“Our trade partners and suppliers have been unbelievably supportive as they always are with our charitable endeavors,” Shee said. “We’ll hopefully reach a six-figure donation with this effort.”

Founded by the Northeast Florida Builders Association in 2001, Builders Care is a faith-based nonprofit construction organization. It has renovated more than 600 homes and provided $6.5 million worth of construction at no charge to families throughout Northeast Florida.

Established in 2011, MasterCraft Builder Group is managed by brothers Chris Shee and Brad Shee. It has performed construction throughout St. Johns County and currently builds in Madeira, TrailMark, RiverTown, SilverLeaf, Shearwater and Villages of Valencia.
