San Sebastian Winery takes home 43 awards in five months

San Sebastian Winery in St. Augustine won seven international wine competitions nationwide between February and July after each wine was carefully inspected, tasted and judgedtaking home 43 awards for a total of 755 to date.

"I'm always extremely proud of the people that I work with that work tirelessly to produce the quality wines that have been awarded over and over again,” said Charles Cox, president of San Sebastian Winery and Seavin Inc.

Vintners Red, San Sebastian's most popular wine, won Best of Class at the Los Angeles International Wine Competition. Additionally, the Vintners Red, Vintners White and Ruby Port were awarded gold. The Cabernet Sauvignon, Blanc de Fleur, Chardonnay and Rosa placed silver.

Seavin, Inc., owner of Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards in Clermont, Florida, San Sebastian Winery in St. Augustine and Prosperity Vineyards in Prosperity, Florida, is considered one of the pioneers in the development of premium, dessert, and sparkling wines made from Muscadine and Vinifera grapes.
