Seymour’s to add art to its bookstore offerings

Posted

Hello, wonderful Ponte Vedra Beach Community!

As many of you may know, there is a used bookstore in the front lobby of the Ponte Vedra Beach Public library called Seymour’s Bookstore. It was started by a group called “Friends Of The Library” (FOL) and it is run by a talented staff of devoted volunteers. It is supported by donations from the community and in turn gives significant financial and resource support to the library.

It is a treasure trove of a wide variety of books, puzzles, CDs, DVDs, E-books and vintage vinyl records — all of which have been donated from generous donors.

And now, Seymour’s wants to expand our horizons by going in the world of visual art. Our vision is to create an event that showcases a diverse array of artwork while giving back to the community we care about. The art sale will be a platform for both established and emerging artists. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to support Friends of the Library, Ponte Vedra Beach, initiatives.

The date for the art sale will be announced later in 2023. However, in the meantime, Seymour’s would welcome donations of all forms of artwork, including paintings, sculptures, photography, mixed media and more. Your support will make this event a grand success that fosters a wonderful sense of community spirit and pride.

More information regarding a date and details will be forthcoming. In the meantime, please contact Seymour’s Bookstore at 904-273-3990 to schedule a donation drop-off time or pick up.

Let’s make art history together!
