Singers By The Sea will perform its spring concert, “The Spring Sing!” on Sunday, May 19. The concert will be performed at 2:30 p.m. at Palms Presbyterian Church, located at 3410 3rd St. S. in Jacksonville Beach.
Director Becky Schumann has been directing the choral group for more than 30 years. The group of 50 singers perform a variety of songs including Broadway tunes, patriotic songs and traditional spirituals. The group performs throughout the year at senior centers, retirement communities and churches throughout Jacksonville and the Beaches. Singers By The Sea holds a fall program, a Christmas program and the spring program.
Among the songs at this year’s spring concert are “The U.S. Armed Forces Medley,” “Lollipop,” “In My Room” and “Moon River.” The piano accompanists are John Whitaker and Jacquita Craven, with support of accompanists of string bass, percussion and violin.
