On June 4, Casa Marina Hotel and Restaurant maître d’, Sterling Joyce, along with Rock Solid Law hosted the fourth annual “Sterling Summer Pier Dance” benefitting the Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry, a nonprofit providing financial assistance to low-income residents of the community. From single parents to senior citizens, BEAM strives to help the beaches community overcome obstacles in life that require financial stability.

“Sterling’s Summer Pier Dance,” hosted at the Casa Marina beachfront courtyard, focused its fundraising on summertime meal assistance for children who ordinarily participate in meal assistance during the school year.

Angie’s Subs and Taco Lu catered the outdoor event while Two Titmice Vodka supplied the liquid courage for guests to loosen up on the dance floor.

“Thank you so much for coming,” Rock Solid Law Director of Client Relations, Chellie Thomas said to the audience. “We have collected over $2,650 today.”

Rock Solid Law founding attorney, John Miller not only helped in hosting, but also in entertaining the guests as his band, Baystreet played classic covers with Miller as the lead vocals and bassist.

“Thank you guys for giving money to this amazing cause so kids in our community could eat this summer while they’re not in school,” Miller said. “So they can continue to grow and become meaningful members of our fabulous community.”

Maître d’, Sterling Joyce, is an iconic member of the Casa Marina staff and is always up to party for a good cause. He entertained guests with pleasant conversations, dancing and group photos.

When asked about the turnout, all Joyce said was, “Two big thumbs up,” with, of course, two big thumbs shooting straight toward the sky.
