The World Surf League (WSL) QS3000 U.S. Air Force Super Girl Surf Pro returns to the Jacksonville Beach Pier and SeaWalk Pavilion this weekend, Nov. 11-13. While the world’s leading female surfers compete in the water, free concerts from major headliners, women’s sports competitions and a festival village entertain festivalgoers on land at the SeaWalk Pavilion.

All events are free and open to the public.

The line-up begins at noon Saturday and features pop star Kira Kosarin at 4:15 p.m., local favorites The Band Be Easy at 5:30 p.m., The Expendables at 7:15 p.m. and Smash Mouth closing the evening at 8:45 p.m.

Fans know Smash Mouth from their hits like “Walking on the Sun” and “All Star,” while The Expendables bring their own eclectic style to reggae-rock and are a huge crowd favorite in Jacksonville.

The event concludes Sunday with six more concerts headlined by shows from Gainesville-based Less Than Jake at 5:15 p.m. and reggae legend Matisyahu at 6:45 p.m.

Each of the Super Girl events are centered around providing athletic, social, cultural, educational and entertainment opportunities for young women in traditionally male-dominated industries. The Jacksonville Beach event includes an all-female DJ competition on the main stage, 2-4 p.m. Saturday. Eight of the best female DJs will take the stage to entertain the crowds and compete in a head-to-head, bracket-style battle. This includes Jacksonville-based DJs Grace Seymour (aka G$) and Kristen Theriault (aka Suga K).

The entertainment also includes female comediennes, a women’s skateboarding competition and an entire festival village with free classes in fitness, yoga, Zumba, Pilates, wellness and dance; a video gaming lounge with a $5,800 open Rocket League Tournament; female skydiving; speakers and panel discussions; full tournaments in women’s beach volleyball, women’s beach soccer and women’s beach lacrosse; a beer garden; 14 food trucks; a military appreciation lounge; and more.

The surf portion of the event will run daily at the Jacksonville Beach Pier from Friday, Nov. 11, through Sunday, Nov. 13, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Festival Village at SeaWalk Pavilion will run on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Sunday Nov. 13, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The surfing, concerts, esports, panels, classes, speakers, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, skateboarding, comedy and all elements are free to attend.

The event is supported by the U.S. Air Force, Florida Blue, CSI Companies, CELSIUS, Atlantic Self Storage, White Claw, Gillette Venus, JOLYN, Kroger Delivery, the Courtyard Oceanfront by Marriott, Perfect Hydration, Logitech, Sierra Nevada, The Mayo Clinic, Sambazon, Ithaca Hummus, Sunglass Hut, Day Chaser, Brine Lacrosse and the City of Jacksonville’s Tourist Development Council.
