Support kids at fun event

Looking for a fun night out while also supporting a great cause?

The 25th annual Tips for Kids Sake will provide an opportunity to enjoy a great dinner, be entertained and support a good cause, all at the same time.

This popular event places “celebrity waiters” at a local restaurant, where they wait on tables and collect BIG tips as donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

This year’s event will take place at Bogey Grille from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 4, with an “encore” event happening at Bogey Grille from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18.

Local celebrities will be recruiting their family, friends and colleagues to come and sit in their section during the dinner event. “Tips is always such a fun time,” said Teresa Andrews, development director. “Folks coming to the event not only eat a great meal, they have a great time watching their celebrity waiter serve them and have fun giving them a hard time.” Celebrity waiters are also encouraged to dress in a costume for this year’s theme, “Favorite College Sports Team.”

This year, the celebrity waiters at Bogey Grille will include:

The Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach, on Feb. 4 – Jessica Evans, Jack Parker, Bethany Mathewsom, Billy Wagner, Beverly Flanagan, and Michele McManamon

MasterCraft Builders Group on Feb. 18 –Dennis DeMott, Mark Wolfe, Amy Lingenfelser, Christina Heinz

“We are really thankful for the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach – they have enthusiastically supported Tips for many years,” Andrews said.

“We are also appreciative to MasterCraft Builders Group for partnering with Tips for the third year. For many of our celebrity waiters, this is out of their comfort zone, yet they participate in order to help more kids in our community.”

Reservations are strongly encouraged for those folks who would like to attend Tips for Kids Sake and be served by a celebrity waiter.
