Jacksonville Area Golf Association elects its 2019 officers

The Jacksonville Area Golf Association (JAGA) recently elected its 2019 officers at its opening meeting of the year at San Jose Country Club. Randy Nader of Sawgrass Country Club was elected President and will lead the organization, succeeding Don Gilmore of the Golf Club of Amelia Island.

The 2019 officers are:

Randy Nader – President

JAGA director, Sawgrass Country Club

Randy Nader is the former owner of Nader’s Pest Raiders, a Jacksonville-area pest control firm. He has served as JAGA VP/Administration in 2018. Nader is native of Jacksonville and attended Fletcher High School. He resides in Jacksonville.

Jeff Adams – Vice President/Administration

JAGA director, TPC Sawgrass

Jeff Adams is a retired staff director of the PGA TOUR’s Communications Department. He has served as JAGA VP/Tournaments, 2017-2018. Adams is a University of Florida graduate that currently resides in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Thomas Bozzuto– Vice President/Tournaments

JAGA director, Hyde Park GC

Thomas Bozzuto is the executive director of the Jacksonville Beach Golf Association He is also the chairman of JAGA Match Play Championship since 2016. Bozzuto is a graduate of the University of North Florida and Bishop Kenny High School. He currently resides in Jacksonville.

Larry Stark – Secretary

JAGA director, Jax Beach Golf Club

Larry Stark is a native of Virginia. He is a retired CSX sales executive. Stark currently resides in Jacksonville.

Billy Walker – Treasurer

JAGA director, Oak Bridge Club.

Billy Walker is a native of Montreal, Canada. He is a graduate of McGill University. Walker is a former partner at KMPG who resides in Ponte Vedra Beach.

  Nader was elected president after serving one year as VP/Administration. Adams will move into Nader’s role after two years as VP/Tournaments. Stark was re-elected Secretary. Walker is a new officer.

Appointed to serve in similar capacities again in 2019 were Jack Morehead of NAS JAX (Assistant Treasurer) and Arch Copeland of Deercreek Country Club (JAGA Webmaster). John Milton (Queen’s Harbour Yacht & Country Club) will serve in the new role of Assistant VP-Tournaments. Former Executive Secretary Barney Poston (Hidden Hills GC) and past president Fred Seely (Timuquana CC) have been appointed at-large members of the Executive Committee. Kevin Glynn (Northern Chapter/PGA) continues to serve as the Association’s Administrative Assistant.

As Immediate Past President, Gilmore remains active on the Executive Committee and will have input on affairs of the Association. He will chair the Nominating Committee.
