It’s been called the next step in the evolution of working, and it’s taking shape now in Nocatee Town Center.
The link, a 22,000-square-foot co-working space and innovation incubator that follows a new concept in balancing career, family and recreation, is expected to open this summer.
“It’s coming along great,” said entrepreneur Raghu Misra, who is also founder and CEO of Wired2Perform.
The facility will be a hub for tech entrepreneurs to launch their businesses and then flourish.
But it will be much more than that.
There will be an emphasis on lifestyle, as well, with a variety of recreational and educational activities for children and families. There will be a fitness room and an area for yoga classes.
Generally, the building’s second floor will be devoted to business while the ground floor will be home to the various lifestyle elements.
In formally announcing the $7 million project last June, Misra said the link would have “everything a family needs to learn, play, think and do.”
Recently, Misra and Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach Executive Director Donna Guzzo announced a partnership between the link and the center. That will mean exhibition of works by local, national and international artists, as well as summer camps and art classes.

“We’re bringing in more and more features that will make the link one of the best places in the world in terms of both building design and what is going to happen inside the building,” Misra said.
The building itself, located at 425 Town Plaza Ave., will break some new ground.
Robots will sanitize surfaces against contagions, such as COVID-19. A high-efficiency particulate air system will make the interior environment healthier. And the building will employ contact tracing technology so that occupants will be alerted to potential vectors of infection.
Should a security issue arise, the building itself will contact authorities immediately.
A lot of attention has also been given to energy conservation, with technology holding the building’s energy use to as near net-zero as possible.
There has been a lot of interest in the link since Misra first announced it.
“We’ve identified at least half a dozen or so start-ups that want to start fairly soon after we open,” said Misra.
