Trudy Toche is the owner of Positively Profiling. She was recognized in December as the Ponte Vedra Beach Division’s 2021 St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce Ambassador of the Year and was recently appointed as the ambassador chair for the Ponte Vedra Beach Division.

Can you please tell us about your background?

I am a Mississippi Gulf Coast native. I graduated from the University of South Alabama located in Mobile, Alabama. I received an undergraduate degree in health science with an emphasis in recreational therapy.

Post college I moved to New York City and New Jersey where I worked most of my career in the health care field at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, working directly with patients who suffered from spinal cord, traumatic head injuries and other neurological impairments.

A career highlight was working with Christopher Reed and his rehab team on cutting edge modalities in spinal cord research.

Living in Chatham, New Jersey in 2003, I decided to step away from my full-time career to enjoy being a mom for the first time.

Although I loved being mom, I missed the role of helping others on a daily basis, so in 2004, I discovered an amazing opportunity with Mary Kay Inc.

Mary Kay Inc. is a debt free, privately held U.S. based international cosmetics company serving nearly 40 countries with headquarters located in located Dallas, Texas.

The company was founded in 1963 by Mary Kay Ash with the mission of living by the Golden Rule.

Mary Kay will be celebrating over 57 years of providing top products in skincare and color cosmetics.

This was the perfect flexible opportunity for the last 18 years.

I have had the amazing opportunity to be a part of Mary Kay’s Leadership program while building a successful personal business and most importantly being a full-time mom of two active boys.

I am proud to have been recognized multiple times nationally with several awards in sales and leadership. That would not be possible without my wonderful supportive clients which span the U.S. Thank you all who continue to support me in my growing Mary Kay business. I am truly grateful.

I know you are also the owner of Positively Profiling, how did that venture get started?

The Mary Kay Foundation is the nonprofit sector of the business. All sales force members are encouraged to help make the world a better place by educating others in the community on topics i.e., social impact, women’s empowerment, sustainability, cancer research, domestic violence and so much more.

I enjoyed educating and inspiring others to make the world a better place by speaking at various community and nonprofit groups. Before I realized, I was being asked to speak more frequently.

In 2018, I launched Positively Profiling, a motivational speaking and teaching business. Under this business model I want to highlight all things positive.

I am excited  to be able to use my years of experience in the area of personal growth and development to continue to help others in a different way. I offer a coaching service, motivational and inspirational programs for small or large groups and retreats.

What are the most rewarding parts of you have found from your jobs?

Post Covid, there is a huge need for individuals to stay positive in the world, and I can help them.

I love growing two businesses that both serve and help individuals be a better version of themselves. Making a difference truly is intrinsically rewarding.

When I have individuals give me feedback from attending a program or event, that tells me I have in some way made a positive difference in their life. That is truly rewarding!
