TV’s Bob Saget dies day following local show

Bob Saget, who starred in the hit TV series “Full House” (1987-1995), died Sunday, Jan. 9, just hours after he appeared at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, where he performed his stand-up comedy act.

In a tweet he wrote at 3:42 a.m. Sunday, he sounded upbeat and happy with the local show.

“Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville,” he wrote. “Appreciative audience. … I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight.”

Saget was also the original host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” from 1989 to 1997.

Saget was staying at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando when he was found unresponsive by hotel staff at about 4 p.m. No cause of death has been determined. He was 65.
