Drug trafficking is a dark and dangerous world and a mystery to the average person. And it’s a mystery that crime writers want to crack. Who better to help than a former undercover narc?
Brian Townsend, a retired special agent for the Drug Enforcement Agency, will share one of his most dangerous undercover executions at the Northeast Florida Sisters in Crime January meeting.
Townsend’s successful investigation of a cartel’s drug trafficking in a quiet Arkansas community was featured on A&E’s “Undercover: Caught on Tape” show. In addition, he will extract insights to help writers enrich their crime writing.
All writers and readers interested in the topic are welcome to attend. Here are the details for the meeting:
When: 11:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4
Where: Ponte Vedra Beach Library, 101 Library Blvd., Ponte Vedra Beach, Friends of the Library (FOL) room
