Now in its sixth consecutive year, the annual PGA TOUR Wives Association Luncheon at Underwood Jewelers was held last week to raise money for charities and showcase the latest from the Dao Fournier jewelry collection.

Taking place Wednesday, March 13, the event featured cocktails, appetizers and desserts among the sparkling showcases of Underwood’s collection of fine jewelry. The Dao Fournier trunk show took center stage. The collection is designed by twin sisters Kimberly Gibson and Lucy Price, whose husband, Aron Price, is a former PGA TOUR golfer.

Proceeds raised from the luncheon go to various charities through the PGA TOUR Wives Association, which holds various outreach and fundraising initiatives throughout the year. Charities supported by the association include Operation Shower, Blessings in a Backpack, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Community PedsCare, Habitat for Humanity and the Boys & Girls Club of America.

John Rutkowski, general manager of Underwood’s Jewelers in Ponte Vedra Beach, said the event has become a staple of the store and has helped cement its place in the community and the PGA TOUR.

“We understand the importance of having this tournament in our backyard and in our neighborhood,” Rutkowski said. “So, we embrace THE PLAYERS, we embrace their wives, their caddies and their families. We embrace the tournament.”

Rutkowski noted that over the past six years, the luncheon has managed to raise over $20,000 for charities.
