United Way of St. Johns County accepts applications for partner agencies

Applications are being accepted now through Oct. 1 for nonprofits in St. Johns County that wish to become certified partner agencies of United Way of St. Johns County.

For acceptance, an organization must not currently be a certified partner agency, and it must be in compliance with all eligibility criteria and agree to comply with the membership standards as listed in the agreement document.

Although there are additional items, an organization must provide the following with its application: documentation that the nonprofit corporation is incorporated in Florida, proof of 501(c)(3) status and authorization by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to solicit funds. The organization must also provide human services to St. Johns County residents. Human services are those services provided directly to individuals or families experiencing difficulty in meeting their basic human needs.
