The Junior League of Jacksonville will present Whale of a Sale, Jacksonville’s largest pop-up rummage sale with more than 30,000 square feet of quality pre-owned clothing, furniture, antiques, books, housewares and more.

The event will be held Feb. 26-27 at the Jacksonville Agricultural Fairgrounds and Expo Center.

Whale of a Sale is the Junior League of Jacksonville’s largest fundraiser and is held annually in the spring.

The kick-off event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 26 with a Mardi Gras-themed preview party featuring dinner, libations and entertainment. Spirited attire is encouraged, but not required.

Three levels of tickets are available with all options including dinner, beer and wine, entertainment and access to shopping.

Tickets are: general admission, $50 (with entry at 7 p.m.); early access, $60 (with entry at 6 p.m.); or VIP tables (with entry at 6 p.m., front row parking, seating at tables for eight, additional cocktails and champagne).

Whale of a Sale’s main event will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 27. Admission is $2 and parking is $5.

COVID-19 precautions will be in place, including but not limited to: attendees will be required to wear a face mask except while eating or drinking; the shopping area will be more spread out than in past years; hand sanitizer will be provided.

All proceeds benefit the Junior League of Jacksonville’s mission of empowering women leaders to make a difference in the community and tackle some of the city’s toughest issues, such as the need for affordable healthy foods and nutrition education in local low-income communities.
