Windsor Pointe welcomes visitors to 'first look' event

Independent Living at Windsor Pointe recently conducted a “first look” event to show interested seniors what the residence has to offer.

A self-guided tour took visitors to six cultural stations where they could sample chef-prepared cuisine from around the world. Attendees could also view several open apartments and furnished models on all three floors.

Today, independent living is more luxury retirement and a resort lifestyle than it was only a few decades ago. It provides retirees opportunities to do the things they have really want to do.

There’s a wade-in saltwater swimming pool, art studio, interactive culinary kitchen, billiards and shuffleboard, a community garden, theater, workshop, outdoor poolside cabana, maintained walking trails, a putting green, a bocce ball court and a dog park.

Windsor Pointe also highlighted residents’ ability to downsize their responsibilities and let others handle the landscaping, maintenance and cleaning. It boasts 24-hour concierge services and one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Dining is a big part of the residence, with four on-site restaurants. There’s also an on-site fitness center and available physical therapy and occupational therapy services through H2 Health, a provider of clinical care for seniors. There are physician office hours onsite and transportation services to take residents where they want to go.

Windsor Pointe, which is operated by Legend Senior Living, is located at 4060 San Pablo Pkwy., Jacksonville, less than a mile from the Mayo Clinic.
