Woody’s Bar-B-Q to introduce ‘garden-fresh’ salads

With Florida summers and bikini season looming, classic Southern BBQ chain Woody’s Bar-B-Q will introduce three “garden-fresh” salads to its menu.

Available at participating locations for a limited time starting March 15, two of the three salads will offer grilled shrimp, while one will feature Woody’s signature Texas beef brisket.

“It might seem surprising to some who know us for our slow-smoked ribs or all-you-care-to-eat Bar-B-Q Chicken Sundays, but salads are a category that performs extraordinarily well at all of our locations,” said Yolanda Mills-Mawman, co-founder and president of Woody’s Bar-B-Q.

“As part of Woody’s 40th Anniversary celebration, we want to stir up some excitement,” she said. “This ‘surf ‘n turf’ salad collection is part of our celebration and we hope our patrons really enjoy them. If they receive a great reception from our guests, there’s a chance we might add them to our regular menu.”

The three new salads include a shrimp Caesar salad; a shrimp spinach salad, with cherry tomatoes, dried beets and balsamic dressing; and a brisket spinach salad, with tomatoes, spinach, a hard-boiled egg and French dressing drizzle.
