Word Revolt Art Gallery in Atlantic Beach will host a show of works from Duncan U. Fletcher High School's art-and-pottery program 5-8 p.m. Saturday, March 26.
Tiffany Leach, head of ceramics at Jacksonville University, and Kristin Grandy of Duncan U. Fletcher High School will give a brief talk about career opportunities in the 2D/3D arts at 6 pm.
Also, Word Revolt Art Gallery is planning the City of Atlantic Beach’s 2nd Annual Earth Day Art Show in collaboration with its environmental stewardship committee 5-8 p.m. April 22. This family-friendly event features an all-ages art competition, exhibition, poetry reading and speeches from community leaders and sponsors.
Speeches start at 6 p.m., followed by awards and poetry readings with Park Poets of America. The guest lineup includes city government from the Beaches communities, representatives from the environmental stewardship committee, Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, Hope at Hand and more.
Word Revolt Art Gallery is located at 1249 Mayport Road, Atlantic Beach.
