St. Johns County’s Third Grade Junior Pros Academy Basketball team won the Amateur Athletic Union State Championship last weekend, May 14-16, with a score of 32-30.
The team is made up of eight local youth. The head coach is Phil Tensley.
The team practices at the Ponte Vedra Beach YMCA and will continue training and preparing for the AAU World Championships at the ESPN Wide World of Sports, to be held July 4-6.
