The Florida Forum Speaker Series, presented by The Women’s Board of Wolfson Children’s Hospital, will welcome Duke University’s now retired Coach K — Mike Krzyzewski — on Nov. 8. The program begins at 7 p.m. at the Center for the Performing Arts in Jacksonville.

The passionate, dynamic and inspiring coach of Duke’s men’s basketball team, Krzyzewski is the NCAA Division 1 men’s all-time leader for wins with 1,200 games in the W column. Coach K’s success includes 35 NCAA tournament appearances, 13 Final Fours and five National Championships over 46 seasons as a head coach. He coached the U.S. men’s national basketball team from 2005 to 2016, leading Team USA to three Olympic gold medals in 2008, 2012 and 2016.

The Naismith Hall of Fame coach is the author of two New York Times bestsellers, including “Beyond Basketball: Coach K’s Keywords for Success.” His most recent book is “The Gold Standard: Building a World-Class Team.” Krzyzewski is a 12-time National Coach of the Year, and Sports Illustrated named him its Sportsman of the Year in 2011. Krzyzewski has also been honored by USA Basketball as the recipient or co-recipient of the USA Basketball National Coach of the Year Award.

Krzyzewski is the first of three events offered by the Florida Forum Speaker Series. Future programs include entrepreneur Steve Wozniak on Jan. 17 and U.S. Navy Adm. James Stavridis (Ret.) on Feb. 26.

Subscriptions for the Florida Forum events start at $250 each for general seating, $350 for preferred seating, $450 for one reserved Bronze level ticket, $900 for two reserved Bronze level tickets, $2,250 for two reserved Silver level tickets and $4,500 for four reserved Gold level tickets. Kids Kare vehicles and helicopters safely transport more than 2,250 infants and children a year to Wolfson Children’s Hospital for emergency critical care, trauma and specialty care.
