American Legion marks Memorial Day

American Legion Palm Valley Post 233 held its annual festivities to honor Memorial Day this past weekend. More than 100 Legionnaires and guests attended the festivities, which included an oyster roast cookout with live music.

“This was a great turnout to honor the United States military,” Post Commander Dan Wortmann said.

Established in 1971, American Legion Palm Valley Post 233 on North WildernessTrail is also the home to the Sons of the American Legion, the Ladies Auxiliary and the Legion Riders.
