Angelwood’s annual gala was held on Aug. 15 at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort and Spa. The theme was Shine: An Evening of Gold, Glamour and Inspiration. Everyone in attendance shined, from Angelwood residents to volunteers and community members. Each individual is an inspiration and their genuine care for the cause made the gala such a heartwarming celebration.
The gala was beautifully decorated in gold glamour and 350 guests attended to raise funds for Angelwood’s mission of serving and providing valuable services for children, adults, seniors and families living with intellectual and developmental differences.
The evening consisted of delicious food and music from a live DJ, cellist and keyboardist. The silent and live auctions were both a success and included exciting offerings.
The live auction had a variety of travel and sports packages, and even a puppy!
The funds raised will benefit Angelwood’s programs, services and group homes. This year, Angelwood is focused on growth, said Interim Development Director Savannah East. A portion of the funds will go toward opening their sixth group home to serve more residents.
