McKibbon Hospitality, an award-winning leader in hotel management, has announced the appointment of Bob Arndt as general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville Ponte Vedra Sawgrass.

An accomplished hospitality professional with more than 25 years of experience and a proven track record of building cohesive teams, driving revenues and producing excellent guest service, Arndt is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the 127-room hotel and its onsite restaurant, Mulligan’s Irish Pub.

Arndt joins McKibbon most recently from his post as general manager of the Hilton Melbourne Rialto Place in Melbourne, Florida, where he oversaw operations of the 238-room property and a team of nearly 100 associates.

From 2013 to 2017, he served as area general manager for Advance Hospitality, overseeing the Hilton Garden Inn/Hampton Inn complex in Jacksonville preceded by his time as area general manager for Remington Hotel’s Hampton Inn Jacksonville, Residence Inn Jacksonville and Jacksonville Hilton Garden Inn.

A well-rounded hospitality leader, Arndt also brings an extensive food-and-beverage background to his new post, having served as general manager of the Frankenmuth Brewery in Frankenmuth, Michigan, in the early-2000s and director of food and beverage for the Double Tree Hotel in Bay City, Michigan, where his superior performance was recognized with Hilton’s renowned Connie Pride Hotel Award of Merit.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Bob to McKibbon as general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville Ponte Vedra Sawgrass,” said Kari Elofson, McKibbon Hospitality's regional vice president of operations. “His deep understanding of all areas of hotel management, especially his tenured and award-winning food and beverage experience, will help ensure the continued success of this premiere property and its onsite restaurant.”

McKibbon Hospitality assumed management of Hilton Garden Inn Jacksonville Ponte Vedra Sawgrass earlier this year.
