Four Northeast Florida charities will be the beneficiaries of a special art show to be held Saturday, Aug. 27 at the St. Augustine Outlets St, located on the east side of I-95 at State Road 16 in St. Augustine.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Art 4 Charities, LLC will host the art show to benefit St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS), Learn to Read of St. Johns County, Mission House and Dreams Come True. Founded by Ponte Vedra couple Diane and Terry Machaby, Art 4 Charities offers reproductions of popular artwork and photography, with 40 percent of the purchase price going to the buyer’s designated charity.

Charities are invited to sign up for the showing by contacting the Art 4 Charities office at (904) 469-7428. Auction space is limited for the event. For those interested in participating in the art showing who inform their supporters of the event, Art 4 Charities will donate 40 percent of the proceeds designated to their organization.

“This can be quite a nice little fundraiser for a nonprofit,” Director of Charity Fundraising Diane Machaby said. “My husband and I try to make raising money and holding fundraising events as easy as we possibly can for the charity.”

St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS), for example, recently became a charity partner of Art 4 Charities and in turn received more than $250 in free artwork and photography, which they raffled off at their annual fishing tournament.

“Everyone at the tournament was very impressed with the quality of the artwork and photography,” said Robin Burchfield, SAYS’ director of development. “It made for a very exciting raffle and event!”

Mission House was the first charity in North Florida to partner with Art 4 Charities. Lori Anderson, executive director of Mission House, heard about the company and was excited to learn more about their mission to help charities worldwide.

“Art 4 Charities is such a wonderful and practical opportunity for Mission House,” Anderson said. “The selection of art is wonderful and Diane and Terry are so generous to do this. We are so blessed to be a part of this project that will assist us in our efforts to assist those who find themselves homeless to obtain a roof over their head.”

Art 4 Charities art showings can be held by supporters of charities at their businesses, hotels, clubhouses and community centers to help raise additional funds to support a charity of their choice.
