Ascension St. Vincent’s Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Ascension St. Vincent’s health care system, appointed Darren White its new executive director. White will lead the foundation’s philanthropic efforts across Northeast Florida, focusing on building compassion and driving innovative growth.

White spent the last year and a half working for the foundation as director of donor relations and stewardship. His leadership supported advancements in medical technology, the acquisition of critical equipment and significant growth in outreach ministries like the Good Samaritan Fund and the Mobile Health Outreach Ministry.

He previously served as associate vice president at Texas Wesleyan University and worked as a national brand consultant.

White said he draws inspiration from the work of the Daughters of Charity, who helped establish St. Vincent’s Hospital in 1916 and served the community for almost a century.

“They didn’t just fundraise, they helped heal, uplift and transform lives.” he said. “That’s the kind of legacy I want to continue through the foundation’s work.”

Rooted in his faith and driven by a passion for service, White is also actively involved in the Jacksonville community. He serves as treasurer of the Murray Hill Preservation Association, volunteers with the Riverside-Avondale Preservation Association Music Tour and participates in the Health Equity Committee of the Jacksonville Transformation Coalition.
