Author John Hope will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of the Ponte Vedra Writers chapter of the Florida Writers Association.
To be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 25 at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library, the meeting will feature a presentation by Hope titled, “Deep Editing Short Stories: Good to Great,” dissecting elements such as audience and theme, conflict and heroes and villains.
Hope is an award-winning author whose works include short stories, children’s books, young adult fiction and nonfiction. The native Floridian has won five Royal Palm Literary Awards and currently acts as a board member of the Florida Writers Association.
The Ponte Vedra Writers chapter is one of more than 50 writers' groups affiliated with the Florida Writers Association, a non-profit membership organization with nearly 1,500 members. For more information about the organization, visit www.floridawriters,net.
