Presented by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Jacksonville Beach Flotilla 14-04

Enroll as an individual or with family members or friends. You will learn in a classroom setting from highly experienced, qualified U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary instructors who will present subjects in clear terms, with demonstrations of boating basics, navigation, in-water survival, knot tying, Federal and Florida boating laws and regulations and much more. Any boat operator of a vessel powered by 10 horsepower or more in the State of Florida, born after January 1, 1988, must have in their possession a Florida Boating Safety Education Card. A Federal and State of Florida course examination will be given at the conclusion of the class. Successfully passing the course will earn you this State of Florida Boating Safely Education Identification Card.

The cost is $25 cash or personal check for training materials, which are yours to keep. Two students can share course materials for a total cost of $30.00.

Captain’s Club, 13363 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32246. The club is between Kernan and Hodges.

The class starts at 8 am sharp so please plan on arriving by 7:45 so you can complete your registration process. This is a full day program with short breaks and only 30 minutes for lunch. We suggest you bring your lunch and refreshments for the breaks.
