Chabad at the Beaches will hold its fourth Kosher Food Festival next month, and because this year’s event falls on Sept. 11, organizers are seeking the names of local 9/11 victims to honor during a brief memorial service at the event.

Individuals who lost a friend, family member or loved one during the 9/11 attacks are invited to submit the person’s name for recognition at the memorial service, will be held at noon Sept. 11 at the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach as part of the food festival. All names submitted will be read aloud during the memorial ceremony.

Names may be submitted to leah@chabadbeaches.com through Sept. 5.

To be held from noon to 3 p.m., the kosher food festival will feature a wide array of culinary offerings from such countries as Argentina, Israel, Germany, Japan and Spain. Chef Masha Hleap – owner and top chef of Atlanta restaurant FuegoMundo – will also be on hand to offer gourmet Latin cuisine that is suitable for both meat-lovers and vegetarians.

Organizers said previous food festivals have drawn record crowds, so the decision was made to move the event to the cultural center in order to accommodate more attendees.

Admission to the kosher food festival is $3 per person; those who register two or more people in advance at www.KosherFoodFest.com will receive a free ticket. There is an additional charge for food at the festival.
