Beaches Town Center holds fall festival, costume parade

Costumes, creativity and crafting were among the themes at the annual Beaches Town Center Fall Festival and Costume Parade, held Oct. 22 in Neptune Beach.

The annual event, which takes place on First Street between Lemon Street and Orange Street, drew hundreds of participants. Children, adults, pets – and sometimes entire families – were decked out for the event. Halloween costumes ranged from both store bought and handmade. Attendees had the opportunity to trick or treat at participating Beaches Town Center shops and restaurants, take a ride on a trackless train, make Halloween-inspired crafts, play games and participate in a costume contest.

Volunteers from the Fletcher High School Interact Club manned the craft, game and refreshment tables, and Dance Trance sponsored a Zombie Dance Experience where Dance Trance dance instructors, decked out in zombie garb, taught the “Thriller” dance to anyone wishing to learn.
