Norse named Florida Medical Association president
Ashley Booth Norse, M.D., a board-certified emergency medicine physician who has received numerous honors for her academic and clinical leadership, was installed as 149th president of the Florida Medical Association (FMA) on Saturday, July 26, during the FMA annual meeting in Orlando.
She is a part-time professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville, where she began her medical career in 2005 and most recently served as associate chair of operations and medical director for the Emergency Department and ED Observation Unit.
Norse earned her medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed her residency in emergency medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville. Norse was named chief resident of emergency medicine during her final year of residency, and she subsequently completed a fellowship in health care policy at the University of Florida COM-Jacksonville as well.
Baptist Health names executive vice president
Following an extensive national search and review process, Baptist Health of Northeast Florida named Eric Fletcher executive vice president, chief strategy officer (CSO), effective July 28.
In this newly developed role, Fletcher will collaborate with senior leadership to design and execute a forward-thinking strategic roadmap that aligns with Baptist Health’s mission and long-term vision. His leadership will help the organization remain agile and responsive to the community’s evolving health needs, while continuing to deliver compassionate, high-quality care that puts patients and families first.
Fletcher will champion initiatives that increase access to care and enhance patient experience and satisfaction. By building strong community partnerships and adopting forward-thinking care models and solutions, Fletcher will help Baptist Health remain a trusted, mission-driven, locally governed health care leader in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.
Fletcher brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in nonprofit, community-based health care. He most recently served as senior vice president and CSO of Mary Washington Healthcare in Virginia, where he led systemwide strategic planning for the health system with two acute care hospitals, four emergency departments, a behavioral health facility and several specialty outpatient centers.
Real estate business welcomes Madison Lawlor
Madison Lawlor has joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty. With a background in teaching and experience as an onboarding specialist at a software company, Lawlor brings a unique blend of interpersonal skills and organizational expertise to her new role.

NAI Hallmark, a commercial real estate brokerage and property management firm in Jacksonville, has announced the promotion of Shannon Carper to vice president, property management. Since joining NAI Hallmark in 2022, Carper has overseen a diverse portfolio of office, industrial and retail properties across Northeast Florida. She brings more than a decade of commercial real estate experience, with a strong track record in property operations, asset oversight and client relationship management.
As vice president, Carper leads a team of property managers and assistant property managers, advancing service standards, developing strategic vendor relationships and implementing growth initiatives to improve operational performance and client satisfaction.
Carper began her real estate career in Tallahassee and later served as a real estate manager with a regional firm, where she specialized in large-scale property oversight and team development.
