Dr. Patrick Harris joins UF Health St. Johns

Patrick J. Harris, D.O., a board-certified family medicine physician, has joined UF Health St. Johns and is now caring for patients at UF Health Primary Care — Treaty Oaks. Harris’ clinical expertise spans the full scope of primary care with special emphasis on improving patient health using osteopathic medicine.

Harris’ primary care practice provides management and treatment of the full range of health conditions. He is an expert in skin surgeries. He also provides care for cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, high cholesterol and heart arrhythmias; sports medicine and non-surgical musculoskeletal disorders; respiratory infections, flu and colds; and geriatric medicine to care for the unique medical, mental and psychosocial needs of senior patients.

As an osteopathic physician, Harris focuses on treating the whole person. He offers osteopathic manipulation treatment, known as OMT, to address a wide variety of conditions such as arthritis and headaches, as well as musculoskeletal injuries and aches that include lower back, neck and joint pain.

Harris earned his medical degree in osteopathic medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale and completed his internship and residency in family practice at Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American Academy of Family Practice.

Collins joins Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa

Kristi Collins has joined Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa as the new membership director for Cabana Beach Club. She will oversee membership for the resort’s private club located on Ponte Vedra Beach.

Collins brings a diverse background to the role, including nearly 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Her experience includes Topgolf, where she specialized in membership and events, and as membership director of Queens Harbour Yacht and Country Club, and Oak Bridge Tennis Club (now known as The Yards).

Weatherby-Hunter named First Coast YMCA chief development officer

As part of its ongoing efforts to support the evolving needs within the five-county region of Northeast Florida, the First Coast YMCA has named Jacksonville-native Courtney Weatherby-Hunter as its new chief development officer. Weatherby-Hunter, who will begin her new role on Oct. 14, will lead fundraising and development initiatives that expand the First Coast YMCA’s reach and support its three areas of impact of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.

A graduate of the University of North Florida, Weatherby-Hunter has spent nearly two decades in development in Northeast Florida. Most recently, she served as the senior director of fund development for the Jacksonville Public Education Fund. She also helped guide fundraising efforts for the Children’s Home Society of Florida, We Care Jacksonville and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida.

Among the key projects that Weatherby-Hunter will oversee in her new role include fundraising campaigns for the construction of the Peyton Family YMCA in the Durbin Park community, as well as continued upgrades to the Winston Family YMCA in Riverside, the Brown Family YMCA in Ponte Vedra Beach, the McArthur Family YMCA in Fernandina Beach and a permanent footprint in the West Augustine neighborhood of St. Augustine.
