Amelia Island serves up inaugural ‘Dining Month’

Posted

This September, residents and visitors to Amelia Island can get their fill of sun, sea and seasonings — and give back to the community — during the inaugural “Amelia Island Dining Month” (Sept. 1-30). Twenty-four of the island’s favorite restaurants will offer prix fixe dinners for either $35 or $55 all month long, showcasing the destination’s diverse culinary talent and burgeoning food scene.

To make it extra sweet, all participating restaurants are pledging $1 from every order to the Barnabas Center, which provides help and hope to Nassau County residents, to improve their stability, health and well-being.

“With the introduction of Dining Month, we’re creating yet another reason to visit in September, one of the best times to enjoy Amelia Island’s wide-open beaches, fantastic weather and unique Florida charm,” said Gil Langley, president of the Amelia Island Convention & Visitor’s Bureau. “There has never been a better time to discover the island’s highly regarded and surprisingly innovative dining scene, with the added benefit of supporting a worthwhile charity.”

The participating restaurants were just announced online and include a variety of options, from fine dining to flip-flop casual. The complete list of restaurants includes:

Arte Pizza; Baba’s Mediterranean; Bar Zin Bistro and Wine Bar; Beech Street Grill; The Boat House; Café Karibo; Coast at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island; The Crab Trap; Cucina South; David’s Restaurant & Lounge; Down Under Restaurant; Garden Street Bistro; Hofbrau Amelia, Kitchen 251; Lagniappe; Mason’s Famous Lobster Roll; The Patio at 5th & Ash; Salt Life Food Shack, Sandbar Amelia Island; The Surf Restaurant and Bar; The Tavern by AIBC; Tides Pool Bar + Grill; Tidewater Grill at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island; and Verandah at Omni Amelia Island Resort.
