The Claxton Bank (TCB) has announced plans to open a new full-service banking office in Ponte Vedra Beach, marking another milestone in the bank’s continued investment in North Florida. The new location will become TCB’s second banking office in the region and is expected to open in the first quarter of 2027, pending customary regulatory approvals.
Located at 6000-C Sawgrass Village Circle, the banking office will provide a full range of consumer and commercial banking services, including commercial and consumer lending, commercial real estate financing, treasury management, residential lending solutions, and checking, savings and money market accounts.
Since establishing its downtown Jacksonville banking office in 2024, TCB has experienced strong growth with total assets increasing 55%.
“Following our expansion into North Florida over two years ago, we’ve experienced strong demand for a business-minded community bank that takes a common-sense, relationship-focused approach,” said Scott Verlander, president and CEO. “Expanding into Ponte Vedra Beach is an important step in our growth strategy as we continue to invest in one of the most dynamic markets in the Southeast.”
TCB’s North Florida market is led by Kim Sole, senior vice president, who brings more than 20 years of banking experience to the region.
“Having lived and worked in St. Johns County for many years, I’m especially excited about our expansion into Ponte Vedra Beach,” said Sole. “This new office will allow us to expand our offering of tailored banking solutions to the individuals and businesses who value high-touch, local banking.”
With the addition of the Ponte Vedra Beach office, TCB will operate five locations — two in North Florida and three in Georgia, including Claxton and Richmond Hill — reflecting the bank’s strategic growth throughout the Southeast.
