New Meridian Fitness just keeps growing.
The gym at 820 A1A North, Suite W21, Ponte Vedra Beach, has added 1,059 square feet to its floor space, bringing its total area to about 5,000 square feet.
But physical size is not all. New Meridian owner John DiPatre said he’s added a massage room, an IV room, a sauna, cardio equipment and lighter dumbbells and curl bars. In addition, there is a Booty Builder hip-thrust machine.
DiPatre said the response has been good.
“The sauna’s been a big hit, a huge hit,” he said. “There’s been a lot of interest in that! And then, the cardio’s kind of nice because it’s separated. So, people are a little more separated from those doing the weights.”
The gym’s signature orange turf runs throughout the new area. The expansion has given the facility more room for patrons to do more activity longer.
The expanded area opened on Oct. 15.
DiPatre took over the established facility in August 2021, and it has been so successful that more space was needed. This is actually the third expansion for New Meridian. In 2023, DiPatre opened a 1,300-square-foot addition to the gym’s original 2,300 square feet. Earlier this year, he added a 400-square-foot outdoor exercise area.
The facility is associated with several trainers, as well as a chiropractic physician and NuEra Wellness.
