A group of Bolles School juniors earned honorable mention at the 2016 Academic World Quest forum held Nov. 10 at the University of North Florida.

Three Bolles teams prepared for the event since September under the guidance and sponsorship of Dr. Danton Kostandrithes, who has spent six weeks working with students before and after school to prepare for the competition. Students Gracie Surface, Asha Anderson, Olivia Morello and Vathsan Margram won honorable mentions for their high score and their creative team name – “Between Iraq and a Hard Place.”

The team’s finish is the best overall finish yet by Bolles at the highly competitive event. The World Quest competition tests students on their knowledge of global issues such as human trafficking, food and water resources, youth employment and current events.
