On Oct. 24, my husband Dale and I hosted a book event and reception with Bret Baier, Fox News host of “Special Report with Bret Baier,” with his latest book, “To Rescue the American Spirit: Teddy Roosevelt and the Birth of a Superpower,” at our home in Sawgrass Country Club.
The mild fall temperature made the perfect garden setting for an open-air venue for an outdoor reception and talk on the terrace under the trees with a beautiful Florida breeze.
Baier made quite a connection to all who attended, posing for photos and sitting down at each table to talk and visit. He gave a wonderful talk while guest dined under the stars, with an overview of the book and details on the history, inspiration and development of the story of this great American leader.
The evening ended with questions from the guest who received six autographed books and wonderful memories with this accomplished and engaging journalist and bestselling author!
