Cheers Park Avenue is planning its 7th Annual Car Show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 24, to benefit K9s For Warriors, a nonprofit organization that provides highly trained service dogs to military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury and/or military sexual trauma.
Trophies to be awarded at 3 p.m. Cars in four categories will be considered for a trophy and a cash prize. The registration fee is $20 before the event and $30 the day of. All entries receive a gift bag. Half the entry fee goes for K9s For Warriors, and the other half is divided for the winners.
The categories are favorite oldest, favorite newest, overall favorite and car entry only. Winners are chosen by voting, which is assisted by volunteers.
This event is family-friendly and free to the public. There will be raffles for prizes, T-shirt sales, a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle to raise funds.
Cheers will have a DJ as well as food and drink specials throughout the event. Brunch will be served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Happy hour is from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
K9s For Warriors will have a tent on site where visitors can learn more.
