Nonprofit St. Johns County Council on Aging (COA) has announced that its annual Champions for Elders Golf Tournament to benefit COA will be held on Nov. 17 at The Palencia Club, 600 Palencia Club Drive, St. Augustine. The fundraising event will support critical services for seniors and caregivers in St. Johns County.
Sponsors are invited to bring a team of four to enjoy a day of golf followed by a celebratory luncheon, or participate as a sponsor off the course and support the important work COA does every day for local seniors and caregivers.
Playing team sponsorships begin at the $2,500 level. Supporting sponsorships off the course are available beginning at the $250 level. For more information and to become a sponsor, go to coasjc.org/champions or contact COA’s Karen Foy at 904-209-3692 or kfoy@coasjc.org.
Playing team sponsorships include tickets to the companion fundraising gala, An Evening on the Matanzas – A Coastal White Christmas, to be held Nov. 23 at River House, a five-star events venue overlooking the Matanzas River at 179 Marine St. in downtown St. Augustine.
The festive gala kicks off the St. Augustine holiday season with dinner, dancing, DJ and a charity travel auction. Gala tickets are $150 per person, and seating is limited. Tickets may be purchased at coasjc.org/gala while seats are available until Nov. 3.
“As a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, COA relies upon the support of members of the community, local businesses and community organizations to support our work,” explained COA Executive Director Becky Yanni. “Each year, we look forward to spending time together as a community at these events that make such a critical difference in the lives of the elders and families we serve, during the holidays and all year long.”
Individuals and organizations interested in participating as attendees, players and/or sponsors may go to the event websites at coasjc.org/champions and coasjc.org/gala, or contact COA’s Karen Foy at 904-209-3692 or kfoy@coasjc.org.
