In addition to the Audubon-rated grounds perfect for pre- or post-meal stroll, the resort offers guests the opportunity to kick back and relax at the Sawgrass Spa (gifts certificates are still available for those last-minute shoppers) and indulge in a prix fixe menu at Alice & Pete’s. Available from noon to 10 p.m. on Christmas Day, the prix fixe menu is comprised of the culinary team’s take on holiday classics, all of which are created from locally sourced ingredients.

Cost: $38, per person
■ First course: Winter stew with ham, white beans, winter greens or garden salad with beets, goat cheese, candied pecans, sundried cranberries, citrus vinaigrette
■ Second course: Bee Hill honey-and- mustard-glazed ham, cider-brined turkey breast with sourdough stuffing, cranberry compote, herb gravy, sea-salt whipped potatoes, maple-glazed root vegetables
■ Third course: Dark chocolate torte with peppermint Chantilly cream or praline cheesecake with salted caramel
