Comedy show to feature Mayberry character impersonators

Dads 4 Life will present a night of comedy Saturday, Nov. 18, at Parkwood Church in Jacksonville featuring Rik Roberts as Barney Fife and Allan Newsome as Floyd the Barber from Mayberry.

Roberts is from Nashville. He has impersonated Barney Fife from “The Andy Griffith TV Show” for more than 25 years. His comedy can be seen and heard on SiriusXM, Pure Flix, DryBar Comedy and The Mike Huckabee Show on TBN. Most recently, he was featured in the movie “Mayberry Man” (now streaming on Amazon Prime and available to view at MayberryMan.com.

Newsome performs across the country impersonating Floyd the Barber from “The Andy Griffith TV Show.” Most recently, he was cast in a lead role in the movie “Mayberry Man.” The Huntsville, Alabama, resident has interacted with fans of the TV show since 1992, running websites like MayberryBarber.com.

Tickets for the show are $20 if purchased online and $25 at the door. The church is located at 7900 Lone Star Road.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show runs from 7 to 9 p.m.
