The second in a series of fundraising concerts, Concerts for a Cause, raised $72,000 for Alpha-Omega Miracle Home, a local nonprofit organization that provides housing, counseling and education for the new faces of homelessness – single mothers, their children and senior women.

The sold out, outdoor event at Tringali Barn at Heritage Farms welcomed American country band Diamond Rio, featuring Walker Montgomery, on May 22.

“This was our second sold-out event since the inaugural Concerts for a Cause kicked off on March 5,” said Chris Shee, owner of Tringali Barn at Heritage Farms and founder and CEO of MasterCraft Builder Group. “Our first event raised $34,000 for Investing in Kinds (INK!). It’s an amazing feeling to double that amount and then some for Alpha-Omega in just our second concert.”

Shee said the next Concerts for a Cause event will be held in late September with the musical act yet to be determined. He plans on holding the concerts at least four times per year with each event benefitting a different local nonprofit organization.

“Breaking the cycle of poverty cannot be accomplished alone,” explained Lisa Franklin, founder and CEO of Alpha-Omega Miracle Home. “We’re so incredibly grateful for Chris and Dawn Shee and their passion to help change family legacies. The money generously raised at Concerts for a Cause will generate true hope for a brighter tomorrow. These funds will give current residents a new opportunity to learn life skills and become self-sufficient, and we’ll also be using $50,000 of the funds toward our new campus.”
